Make No Bones About It

Here are 3 Skeletal Warriors who refuse to give up the fight.  The centaur is from Rackham Confrontation.  I will add the odd horse/man to my Living Dead of Acheron faction.   I painted him to fit in with the figures I have for that clan.

The other two figures are leftover from my Banner Saga purchase.  I removed the heads and weapons from the figures.  I added some weapons I had from Warhammer and HeroClix.  The skulls were from a bag of them that I purchased some time ago.  I envisioned them to be coated in blood from head to toe.  I have named them "The Unforgiven".  Not even Hell wants them because of their endless lust for killing and carnage.  

Too Cold, Too Cold

I had mentioned awhile back that I had got a bunch of minis for cheap from a game called The Banner Saga.  I put up pics of some of the Dredge figures in an earlier post.   I just completed six super cool figures from the same game.  These guys are called the Varl.  They are giants with horns protruding from their foreheads.  Like all the rest of the miniatures, they are super detailed and nicely sculpted.  I had to do the old hot/cold bath to get some of the weapons straightened out, but it was a pretty easy fix.

I painted these guys to look like Frost Giants.  They're not as big as Frost Giants from other companies, so I will use them as half giants.  I decided to make them into two factions, so I gave them different looks.  I also modified a couple of them.  Take a peek.  I hope you like them.

More than likely these guys will be my last paints of 2020.  At least as far as my hobby goes, it was a good year.  For all of you who do me the honor of checking out my blog, a big "thank you" and a wish for a happy, healthy, safe, and prosperous 2021!!!

Dredgeful Day

Quite some time ago I ordered a bunch of miniatures from MERCS Miniatures.  While I was on their website I noticed an offer for a set of fantasy minis for dirt cheap.  For the price, I couldn't resist.

When they arrived, I was glad that I hadn't passed on them.  The figures are great (quality, detail, sculpt, variety).  I was especially impressed by the figures that I came to find out are called the Dredge.  All the figures were made for their Banner Saga game.  The Dredge, are the "so-called" bad guys.

They were easy and fun to paint.  It was a project that only took a couple of days which is fine because the weather here lately has been crappy for the most part.  It kept me from being bored and I stayed out of trouble.  In the end, I have some really cool looking miniatures.  There are still a ton more in the box to paint.  (I'll get around to them!}
