Dark Desires

Quite some time ago I assembled and painted several figures that I called Chaos Lords.  There was one for each of the Dark Gods (WH40K): Khorne, Nurgle, Tzeentch, and Malal.  I never got around to having one for Slaanesh...that is untill now.

I purchased this model on Etsy back in September of 2022.  It is a Tamareth figure from Archvillian Games.  It looked like so many of the images I've seen posted on the Internet of Slaanesh style heralds.  I have renamed it Syntryxa.  She's bad to the bone to say the least.

I kept to the purple, pink, and gold color scheme that is typical of Slaanesh models (see my Daemonettes and Fulgrim-Phoenician figures.)  Painting it was not too difficult.  Assembly was a different matter entirely.  Parts did not fit together properly (a common problem with many resin figures I have found).  I had to putty in some areas. The super glue would not bond the pieces together.  I had to do some trial and error to find a concoction that would work.  Despite the issues, I think the end product turned out well.

Stand back!  It's time for Syntryxa's debut!  Watch out for the blades!!!!!!!!!!

Chaos All Around

Chaos Undivided

Nearly a year ago I started out to build a Warhammer Chaos Army.  I've gathered a variety of Chaos figures over the years but felt I needed a full fledged force.  I purchased several boxes of Chaos figures and set off to work.

I divided the Chaos Warriors into two sets of Knights.  One set serves Tzeentch and the other Slaanesh.  The set of Blood Reavers and Blood Warriors are dedicated to Khorne. Lastly a unit of Black Knights for Nurgle.  I added a set of Undead Cavalry from Fireforge Games to even out all the units into groups of eight.  Thirty two minions for the Lords of Chaos to order into battle.

I've attached several photos of the final product.  Take a gander and see what you think.  Until next time...

I Got A Crush On You

Just finished my Outworld Crusher by Archvillain Games,  I got it on Etsy from Palisade Miniature Company.  This is a super cool looking model.  It's a great sculpt and a good print. I'm going to use it as a Chaos Khorne Demon Lord.

Some New All Stars

Starlink Battle for Atlas by Ubisoft has put out some pretty cool miniatures for their game. The miniatures break down into two categories: Ships and Pilots. I saw some of the miniatures at Dollar Tree while in Florida.  For a buck, I said why not and bought the Razor Lemay pilot figure.  She is cool looking.  She has that post-apocalyptical feel and sort of a Storm from the X-Men punk look.  I like the guitar she has strapped to her back as well.

I liked the Razor figure so much that I turned around and bought the Eli Arborwood pilot.  Eli is a cross between a plant-man and a gunslinger.  He doesn't sound very cool, but in his case, seeing is believing.

I've attached pictures of each.

As far as progress on my Warhammer Chaos Army.  The Khorne figures are finished.  I'm more than halfway done with the Chaos Warriors. I hope to start the Nurgle Cavalry next week.  All in all, things are going fairly smoothly.  Can't wait to see the entire set completed.

While working on the army, I've been enjoying Voo Doo Potato Chips from Zapp's.  I've been washing them down with some Kona Big Wave Golden Ale.  Great stuff!!!  Go get some!

Nothing But Chaos

I have decided for my summer project to build a Warhammer Chaos Army.  It will be made up of four units; each unit committed to one of the four Chaos Gods.  For Nurgle, a unit of Hexwraith Cavalry.  A unit of  Blood Warriors and Reavers for Khorne.  I'm splitting a box of Chaos Warriors between Slaanesh and Tzeentch.  Each unit will have 8 figures that comprise it.  Totaling 32 figures in all, this will be a bit of a challenge.

As usual, pictures will follow when completed.  Wish me luck.
