Pest Problem

I finished up four major "Uglies" this week; a Rancor Beast and three Arthropods.  I took my good old time with them and am pleased with the outcome for the most part.  

The big guy got a little darker than what I originally wanted, but I kind of like it better this way.  He is a 3D print I bought on Etsy from Wargames 3D.  Great pose, good print, easy to assemble, nice price.

The "Bugs" I've talked about in several previous blog entries.  They were a pain you-know-where.  Assembled, painted up, and given custom bases ( I made them out of Crayola Model Magic), they didn't turn out too badly.

All-in-all it was a fairly good productive week.  Take a gander at the images.  I hope you like them.

Addicted to da Dog

Veltre's Pizza opened up not too long ago in Plum Borough, PA.  They moved from their Oakmont location where they had been since the 1970's.  The new shop is nice and it's great for me because it's on my way home.

I worked for Tony, the owner, for a short time back in the mid 1980s in Oakmont and ate at the Swissvale location many times as well.  Tony is a great guy.  He takes pride in the food and the service in his restaurants.  When I saw he opened the new location, I was thrilled.

One item on the menu which wasn't there back in the day is the Italian Hot Dog.  I tried one a few weeks ago and now I'm addicted.  I started bringing them home and now my entire family is hooked.  Pizza crust, cheese, and pepperoni shaped into a ball.  Dipped in sauce...pure heaven!  I can't stop eating them!

If you're out in Plum Borough, stop by Veltre's Pizza.  Get some Italian Hot Dogs or anything else on the menu.  Ottimo cibo!!!
